Peace Cup to Challenge Cup for Azkals a Real Challenge

In the last Peace Cup held here in the Philippines, particularly in the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City, the Azkals won the tournament beating through a come from behind win. I'm not sure if the team members got themselves rings like the masonic rings or medals for winning the tournament but whatever they got, it was the honor of winning that was prized most.  However, winning the tournament does not mean they improved especially since it was noted that they way they conceded goals and opportunities from opponents were to easy. With winning the AFC Challenge Cup set as a goal, this performance should be improved to better their chances of making it to the finals this time.

Football Fever and Replica Jerseys

Football fever will soon hit the entire world starting in Europe. And I have been receiving in my email, messages with pictures of new Jersey designs of national teams.  The stores sending emails have a gorgeous selection of football gear which is great for those who are searching for the latest jerseys. I hope the same designs will be available in Divisoria, where I can get replica jerseys cheap.

Factors to Make a Winning Team

How do you rally a team of football players to give their all and play their best during a game? Some say that playing with all one's heart is the way to win a game or even a championship. But the fact is there are many other factors or should I say there is a premise to playing with all your heart and winning.

One is individual skill or the technical skill of players, another is their individual judgment and decision making and of course, physical and match fitness. The most effective teams have these factors and then its players are united together through cohesion and experience. When all those factors are met, playing with all your heart can really make the difference in winning a championship game.

Brand Name Association

Brands say a lot about the kind quality a product delivers. In football, the name of the team also associates itself with the style and quality of play. Similar to brands in musical instruments like the pearl 900 series hardware pack at guitar center, the association with delivering quality is given.  Popular teams in football did not just become popular. It is because of  a long legacy of championships that they become a known brand and name.

Analysis and Evaluation

Getting plugged in properly is important in team coordination especially in football. If the connection with the team isn't stable and strong, then the risk of losing a player of the team is high. It is similar to playing a musical instrument, an electric guitar in particular, and not having a reliable instrument cable to go with it. That can cut the performance in the middle of a song or cause some technical problems and that would be a huge problem. That's why it's important to employ some analysis plus instrument cable evaluation.  The same goes with a football team. Analysis and evaluation of ties with team members and the coach is important.

Playing Ultimate Frisbee with Loud Music

I did not realize how exciting and challenging Ultimate Frisbee can be. We played it on a football field and I was really challenged by some who played well and threw the frisbee so far and so accurately. It was really exciting to watch many high school and college students battle it out on the field while loud music is being played, Mitchell Guitars screaming, drums pounding. It became a whole different playing field when it started raining. The players were not hindered and continued playing despite getting all the mud and water on them. We may continue hosting events like this in the near future.

Juggling Two Important Things

Last May, as I was busy preparing for Mother's Day and arranging a football practice with a group of high school students I had to juggle both. Because the practice game was the Saturday before mother's day and I got so busy for the preparations of it that I forgot to buy a gift for my wife. It was a good thing I was able to search and buy online for the best selection of mothers rings, chocolates, flowers and other gift items. I was able to prepare for the game and everything went well but did not have to sacrifice getting a gift for my wife.

Praying for a Sunny June 12

I am hoping that there would be no rains on June 12 because of our Ultimate Frisbee event at Markina Sports Park. There will be fee frisbee lessons offered from 8am to 11am and free frisbee will be given to first 500 registrants.

If it rains, I don't know if it will be that enjoyable. People may just take time to cover themselves from the rain or even leave if the rain continues or some may just look for humidor seasoning or some drinks.

Anyway, the event will push through no matter what.

Ultimate Frisbee, Similar to Football?

This coming June 12 and 13, a team from the US will be teaching a game or sport that is gaining popularity and that is Ultimate Frisbee. It is similar to playing rugby or American football because the goal is to touch down with the frisbee on your team's end line.

As sports commentators speak through a microphone connected to an ev elx115p, players pass the frisbee to their teammates until they reach their goal. But, a player is not allowed to run with the frisbee. This makes the game a bit difficult as team members need to move free from their opponent so that their teammates can pass the frisbee to them.

The event will be held at Faith Academy football grounds and at the Marikina Soorts Park.

Watching A Live Football Match for the First Time

It was quite a sight. My girl and I were together and we were watching this football match between our country’s women’s football team and another South East Asian country. It was our first time to watch a live football game. The crowd would go ecstatic each time the ball was brought close to the goal. People around were holding cigar torch lighters and sounding rattles and shouting. It was one of the most exciting things to watch, a live football match. It was just sad that our team didn’t win but it was still excting none the less.

Shirt Design for Azkals Campaign in the AFC Challenge Cup 2014

I am excited that the Azkals made it through the elimination stage of the AFC Challenge Cup, topping Group E and going through together with Turkmenistan in second.  I am thinking of going into business, producing and manufacturing Azkals shirt for the upcoming tournament in March of 2014. I will be using online design tools to enhance the shirt designs I have conceptualized and will source suppliers for the project.

Playing FIFA 13

I am playing FIFA 13 now and enjoy the new options in the controls especially the skill move and calling the second defender. The controls look similar to the ones in FIFA 11 and FIFA 12 iPad apps but an additional button, like a toggle clamp or stick, was added. It has added so many new dimensions to the game and has made the game more exciting. Right now I am still conquering the semi-pro level and will progress to the next difficulty when I am done with that.

Turkmenistan and Philippines Rivalry

I read from the news today from a local letterhead printing that the rivalry between Turkmenistan and the Philippines is one that we can all look forward to in the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup in March 2014.  The article I read eve said that the two countries match up in the Group E qualifiers held in Rizal Memorial Stadium was a preview of the finals.

Well, that will surely something to look forward to. With Turkmenistan having some great opportunities against the Azkals and showing some good defense as well, it would really be a good finals match if both teams overcome their other rivals on thwe way to the finals.

To Each His Own During the Holidays

It's Holy Week here in the Philippines and many are on vacation - one of the very long weekends being anticipated throughout the year. While many take this time to reflect on what Christ did thousands of years ago, there are those who choose to take advantage of the holidays to getaway and enjoy outdoor trips arguing that they meditate on Christ's sacrifice all throughout the year.

Well, for those who do that, they do plan their trip and escapade months before and prepare for it by securing outdoor stuff from and the like. I, on the other hand, choose to stay at home, watch The Passion video and play a little bit of FIFA 13. To each his own.

Philippine Azkals are Through to the AFC Challenge Cup in Maldives

The Philippines national football team is through to the AFC Challenge Cup in Maldives after topping Group E of the group stage held in Rizal Memorial Stadium. I dropped some of the best free audible books I was listening to so I could keep track of the games via Twitter as I was out of the house during the matches.

The Azkals, together with the other two teams in Group E, received three points for Brunei's withdrawal from the tournament. They routed Cambodia 8-0 and Turkmenistan with a 1-0 win to top the qualifying stage. The Philippine Azkals' line up is the best by far and they might just be able to grab the AFC Challenge Cup championship at Maldives.

Listening to Music and Watching Football Vidoes

I love listening to music and watching football videos of goals and soccer bloopers. Those two things are what I do when I have time to spare online. When I listen to music and watch football videos, I like playing them loud. But the problem is may people around me do not appreciate the high volume. So I turn to using headphones. One of the few headphones I really like is the audio technica ath-m50. It gives a rich and brilliant sound on the highs and a solid bass sound. This combination makes listening to music and watching football videos more dynamic.

Upgradng from FIFA 12 to FIFA 13

I’m pretty set on upgrading from FIFA 12 to FIFA 13 in my iPad 2. Even though I haven’t completed all the achievements in FIFA 12 it does not mean I won’t be able to do that when I purchase FIFA 13 because the older app will still be available for playing.

I have been curious too long about FIFA 13 because the graphics look a lot better and the dashboard seem as professional as InetSoft's dashboard scorecard. I am looking forward to play it this evening as I will be making the purchase soon.

Video of OJ Porteria's Goal in the Myanmar 0-1 Philippines Friendly Match.

OJ Porteria, an 18-year old who plays for the Philippine Footbal U-23 team scored the winning and only goal for the Philippine Azkals in their friendly match against Myanmar. This young man who is an American-born Filipino plays as a winger or attacking midfielder and plays it as sharp as a merkur razor. From a great assist by Ian Araneta, Porteria latched on to the ball and struck with a very important goal. Below is the video of OJ Porteria's goal in the Myanmar 0-1 Philippines friendly game.

A New Home for UFL in McKinley

A new football field is being readied at McKinley in Taguig City and it is for the United Football League (UFL). It will be the new home of the league where many of the country's football players who are part of the national football team (Azkals) get their regular football play time helping them maintain a regular football playing routine outside of training.
