Ukraine 2-1 Sweden: EURO 2012 | June 11 Match

Ukraine was given a dream start by their captain, Andriy Shevchenko, as he struck twice to win 2-1 against Sweden. The first half was marginally in favor of the co-hosts but a close-range finish by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the 52nd minute put them behind. But Ukaraine team captain Shevcenko put in a powerful header 3 minutes later to level the match. Then he put them in front in the 62nd minute to make their EURO 2012 tournament debut memorable.
