I Saw a Cool Bear from Great Wall Motors Philippines

Last Saturday, on my way to the football tournament at Marikina Sports Park, I noticed car that looked so elegant. The logo of the car was not familiar and as I did some research in the internet I found out that it was a Cool Bear fro Great Wall Motors Philippines. Last year, this company opened two showrooms in Metro Manila and introduced six vehicles.

Great Wall Motors Philippines introduced the Peri which is sized like an econo-car but carries a 1.3-liter engine, the Florid which also carries a 1.3-liter engine but has a bigger body, the Wingle which is a pick-up truck that has a 2.8-liter CRDI turbo charged diesel engine, the Hover which is a CUV which also has a 2.8-liter CRDI turbo charge diesel engine, the Cowry which is a van that has a 2.0-liter 4G63 MIVEC, SOHC engine and the Cool Bear, the one that I saw, which has a 1.5-liter DOHC, 16V with VVT, gasoline engine.

I learned that all their vehicles engines are already EURO 4 compliant (gasoline engines) and EURO 3 compliant (diesel engines), has ABS and EBD and dual front air bags. I saw the pictures of the cars in this blog and am planning to test drive a vehicle and get a quote for the car which also includes an auto insurance quote. I am excited to visit a Great Wall Motors Philippines showroom.

A Goal from the Half Line by Jamie Milligan

It was a match between Fleetwood Town and Farsley Celtic and Jamie Milligan sent a goal in from the halfway line. I haven't seen a lot of videos like this one. The only video I had similar to this was the one where David Beckham scored a goal from the halfline for Manchester United early in his career. Below is the video of the goal from the half line.

No Drugs in Fair Competition

Taking drugs that enhance performance in sports is a no-no in fair competition. Many of these drugs can also have bad side effects and can be addictive. Coaches, the drug board and sports bodies discourage the use of such substances to promote fair competition and at the same time to protect the welfare of the athletes. Those who become addicted would need to undergo drug rehab treatments and lose their way in their sporting career.

Not Enough Preparation for the Tournament

It has been months since I attended training in our football club and this Saturday, we will be playing in a tournament. I have had only two weeks preparation but haven’t met my fitness goals. I have gained some weight since I stopped playing football and I may just need the best best fat burner. I just hope I won’t embarrass myself on Saturday.

January 23, 2010 Tournament at Marikina Sports Park

This Saturday, we will be joining a one day - tournament at the Marikina Sports Park where 8 football clubs around NCR will be playing against each other. Many of the clubs that will participate are alumni clubs of private schools.

We are expecting that many of them are still in shape and have no use for wrinkle creams even though they are alumni clubs. I am looking forward to playing for our club, Marikina United FC and I hope we have fun and if there is a chance, win.

Keeping Fit for Jan 23

Football players who are not in shape need to lose weight fast or they would not be able to play so well and keep up with those who are have trained well. This is what I need to do this next week as our team Marikina United FC will be joining a tournament on January 23, 2010 at the Marikina Sports Park. I hope I make it to the line up.

Birmingham 1-1 Manchester United Match Highlights: 01/09/2010

Manchester United missed the chance to go top of the league after salvaging a controversial draw against Birmingham. A poor clearance from Jonny Evans allowed Cameron Jerome to smash home for the hosts just before half-time. An own goal from Scott Dann saw the visitors hit back but only after referee Mark Clattenburg had overturned an offside decision from his assistant.

Aston Villa 0-1 Liverpool Match Highlights: 12/29/2009

Fernando Torres scored in the 93rd minute to give Liverpool a dramatic late victory over Aston Villa. The Reds' season of frustration looked set to continue as Villa produced a spirited display in snowy conditions. Steven Gerrard went close, Pepe Reina denied Stewart Downing and Gabriel Agbonlahor, and John Carew headed wide. A draw beckoned but Torres raced on to a ricochet and slotted in, setting a record for reaching 50 league goals for Liverpool in the fewest appearances.
