Remembering Football Memories

Yesterday, we visited a friend and celebrated Christmas party with them in their house which I used to visit when I was young. This is a friend whom I used to play football with when I was just learning the sport. We played in school, in their house and I remembered the area in their home where we used to juggle the football. It is now laid with glass mosaic tiles but the memory of juggling is still fresh. This has been a nice Christmas season so far, meeting ole friends.

Football With Friends from US

This January, our violence and substance abuse prevention organization will be hosting programs in different high schools in our city. Volunteers from the US, probably those who have been to california rehab treatment centers and other institutions as well, will be helping us out in presenting our program and sharing the drug prevention message of our organization. We are excited especially because some of them play football.

Philippines 2-0 Vietnam AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 Video

This was a momentous win for the Philippines as they won the match 2-0 agains the defending champions Vietnam in the group stage of the ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup. You can watch here the highlights of the match and it is obvious that Vietnam had more chances but thanks to the RP team defense which held. No need to watch with speakers for computer because the real action is visual and the audio is not necessary.

I Found the Philippine Football Team Jersey and Got One

I have been looking everywhere, including online, for the Philippine Football team jersey and I can’t find it in stores like amazon or but was fortunate enough to find it in the Mizuno stores here in Manila. I found out that the size of the jersey are quite big so I got the size small and am very excited to wear it on Thursday when the Philippines faces Indonesia in the AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals.

Philippines is at the Verge of Getting a Semi-finals Slot

I can’t sleep because I have been thinking that the Philippines is actually on the verge of getting into the semi-finals of the Suzuki Cup. I might need insomnia treatment thinking that if they at least get a draw against Myanmar then they get a slot in the semi-finals. I am excited and at the same time nervous. I hope that the Philippine Football team would remain resolute in their next matches in the Suzuki Cup.

I Want the Home Hersey of the Philippine Football Team

I can’t wait to get my hands on the Philippine Football jersey from Mizuno. After the Philippines won 2-0 against Vietnam, I have made a resolution to get the home jersey of our country’s football team. I might, if things work out well, be able to get a small sized shirt from the Mizuno store in the Club 650 complex and have them shoot the jersey’s price tag of P1,995 with a barcode scanner. I hope I get to wear it soon.

Football Tip On Skin Problems

Here is a tip to all who play football regularly who encounter skin problems caused by fungi. Make sure to not use or share socks and jerseys. You can cause others to get your athlete’s foot, or even eczema if you are not careful with the use of your personal stuff. This happens during games when an irresponsible player forgets his uniform or socks, so beware.

Hot Shower After A Game

After a tiring but fun game of soccer, I like taking a hot shower. Too bad there is no shower room with hot water in Marikina Sports Park. It would really be great if people like me who love sports can just take a shower using a scented body wash, a body wash for acne or any body wash of their preference and use it in a hot shower. I’m glad that in Club 650 they have this facility.

Playing Efficient Football

I have been creating sites lately and have been trying to get revenue from them. I realized how great advertising is and having a targeted audience really pays. Finding the right advertising network is important as well so as to find the target market and not just those who click here and there. It is much like football. As a team, the energy and effort of the team must be focused on the right stuff or else they will be spread thin. Playing efficient football is important.

Athletes Should Invest on a Health Plan

NC Blue Cross Blue Shield is a great health plan for footballers in North Carolina. As an athlete it is important to have a health plan because you rely mainly on your skills which is dependent on your physical condition and health. Some football clubs provide health plans, whether in-house or outsourced, for their players, but some don’t. So it’s a great investment if y get a health plan for yourself.

Wishing For Black Friday Coupons

I wish we had Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale here in our country, too. That would be a perfect time to buy gifts for Christmas or even toys for the big boys like gadgets. Maybe an iPhone 4, a laptop, or a netbook is what I would get for myself if we had those here. If there were at least Black Friday coupons that will be honored online for purchases made from our location. Oh well.

My Football Videos and Pictures Collection

I love collecting videos and pictures of football players and great soccer moves. It’s a good thing that many pictures and videos are very much accessible through the internet. It allows me to get what I want easily not like before where I had to cut out magazine clippings and use some photo and document scanning machine to get a soft copy of the photos. Thanks to the rise of internet.

Suggested Sale Items for Black Friday 2010

Some suggestions of things to buy on Black Friday 2010 aside from the football jerseys are laptops, netbooks, touch screen phones, perfumes, the best anti wrinkle cream, rubber shoes, soccer shoes, trekking shoes, surfing accessories, a wireless Bluetooth stereo headset, basket balls, soccer balls, shin guards, gloves, football shirts, football jackets and accessories for any technology and sport. I can’t wait for the Black Friday sale.

Football Jerseys on Black Friday 2010

Black Friday is approaching fast and I can’t wait to get my chance to buy some football gears. In the last World Cup in South Africa, there were some international jerseys that I really liked and I hope they would be on sale this Black Friday aside from the tech gadgets and Iphone accessories that are going to be sold. I know people will be lining up even the day before that day to score a lot of stuff I’m hoping that they would get other stuff instead of football jerseys.

Boosting A Football Team's Morale

The football team that lost huddled together on the bathroom floor with some even kneeling under the bathroom sink. It was a depressing sight but a challenging one as well. Football teams must be training their club members how to handle defeat. They should encourage them to see defeat as an opportunity rather than a challenge so that they would be ready to face the next games better. How’s the emotional quotient of your football club?

Some of the Dangers in Football

In one of the football games I saw, there were players who fought each other after the match turned too physical. There were too much dangerous kicks and tackles that the offended player hit back with a side kick. What was more dangerous were the stuff that the fans started hurling on them. They threw stuff like coins, metal seats and door hardware, even. That is how dangerous games can turn out I guess.

Girls and Football

Girls play football too. They may be concerned about many other things as compared to boys – things like acne which make them go to sites like, make-up and boys – but that doesn’t mean that they can’t play good football.

I have trained with a girl from our country’s national team and I would say that she plays better than a lot of the other boys that I know who play soccer. So do not underestimate girls who play soccer.

An E-mail from a Soccer Mom in the Philippines

Here is another letter from a subscriber in the Philippines:

Dear Football Videos and Pictures,

I am a mom who has a son who wants to learn about soccer. I do want him to get involved in that sport even though it is not so popular in our country, but I am hesitant because I do no think he is physically up to it. What would you suggest that I do? Do you think I should allow him and just let him take the best multivitamin tablets available? My son is 7 years old. Thanks.

Soccer Mom from the Philippines

Hello, Soccer Mom from the Philippines. I believe that you know what is best for your son and that you know your son better than anyone else. If you feel he is not up to it then don't let him join, but I hope you would consider this, too. His football training will definitely help him develop physically. Maybe, at first, he would have adjustments because soccer is quite strenuous. But, in the long run, he will develop his endurance, agility and how to coordinate his muscles as he trains. But, again, you know your son better.

Popular vs Non-popular Brands

Using well know brands sometimes means that you are getting the quality you are paying for. Like in football gears, the well known brands’ shoes, jerseys and socks do last longer that unknown brands. In skin care, Obagi, a real high end brand of acne skin care products and systems, is also effective, they say. But this is not always the case because I have found other brands that are not real popular that can last longer.

Real Madrid 2-0 AC Milan Highlights and Goals: 10/19/2010

Real Madrid took another big step towards the last 16 of the Champions League with a comfortable Group G win over AC Milan at the Bernabeu. The hosts tok the lead when Cristiano Ronaldo's free-kick sneaked through the wall and it was 2-0 when Mesut Ozil's shot deflected towards the goal off Daniele Bonera. Andrea Pirlo's free-kick struck the bar and Clarence Seedorf blazed over for Milan but they were easily second best. Angel di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain both wasted chances as Real cruised home for the win.

E-mail Sent from India

Below is an em-mail sent to me by a person subscribed to my blog:

Dear Football Videos and Pictures,

I am a high school soccer player based in India and I would like to know if you have tips on how to lose weight really fast. I have been out of shape during summer and gained a lot of weight. I hope you can give some specific things I can do. Thanks.

HS Football Player form India

Thank you for taking time to e-mail us. If you are wanting to get back in shape and lose weight, my main recommendation is to run laps in the football field and get back into regular training with your club. If you do not have a regular training schedule, you can do it on your own. Training is the key and in a few weeks you can get back into shape with the proper training. Try to do jogging laps and also do speed and endurance training exercises.

Keep Yourself From Injuries

Getting injuries can hamper one’s career in football. The treatment and rehabilitation will take a lot of time depending on the severity of the injury. A lot of time is also consumed on getting the player back to match fitness sometime using a male fat burner supplement but most of the time through rigorous training and exercise. So, always make it a point to do stretching exercises and strengthen muscles that can prevent common injuries in soccer.

Football Games from Gaming Companies

The popularity of the world cup has prompted gaming companies to make and sell games out of the sport. The companies have made games for different game consoles like the Xbox, PS3, Wii and it all started with games that can be played on desktops or computers. But for the latter, one must have fast and powerful CPU specifications and games can be better appreciated if viewed on large desktop screens. Football games rock!

Why Do You Catch Your Breath?

Are getting tired easily when you play football? Maybe you have been exercising but you still feel weak and try to catch your breath when doing physical activities out of your normal routine. Have you been regularly visiting those cigar retailers? That could be one reason. Another reason could be because of lack of sleep or proper nutrition. You can actually diagnose why you are feeling that way. Try the process of elimination and you’ll find out.

Drogba's Season Average So Far: One Goal per Match

Didier Drogba's goal in the 39th minute for Chelsea's 2-0 win against Arsenal was his 13th goal in 13 matches, an average of one goal per match. This is an indication of how important his role in the club is but not minimizing the value of the defense and the midfielders. Chelsea's team effort has allowed them to score 4 points clear Manchester City who is just one point ahead of Manchester United.

What are Good Job Sites?

If you are looking for health care job sites in the internet you will probably directed to big sites such as Monster or other similar sites. There are also generic sites that provide not just job specific but country specific jobs. The best job sites are those that provide search capabilities and can give you job offers that are updated regularly.

Choosing the Right Team

For a football player or any athlete, when choosing a team or a company it is important to look at the track record of the organization. It is very much like choosing a medical and financial service company that can assist people that need to get social security disability insurance. It helps to know that the organization one will depend on or be a part of can deliver. But it is also important that you know how you can be an asset, too.

I Need to Get Back

I posted the pics of the last tournament our club joined where we won a match but lost a second and eventually did not qualify for the finals. Back then, I was in tip top shape and had no need for some diet pills. Now, I am working out but haven’t had much aerobic exercise that would make me have the endurance and stamina to last 90 minutes on the pitch. I need to get back to exercising again.

Everton 0-1 Newcastle Match Highlights and Goals: 09/18/2010

Hatem Ben Arfa's left-foot strike gave Newcastle their first win at Goodison Park in almost a decade and left Everton rooted in the bottom three and still without a Premier League point this season. Ben Arfa, making his first Newcastle start after signing on loan from Marseille, scored with a magnificent 25-yard strike on the stroke of half-time as Chris Hughton's side bounced back in style from their shock home defeat by Blackpool.

Newcastle also survived the loss of goalkeeper Steve Harper in the first-half after he sustained a suspected collarbone injury in a tangle with Jermaine Beckford.

Raising Up the Foot After a Game

After a game of football, I would give my feet some time to rest. I raise them up on a stool or a soft seat but not really bothering to use any wrinkle lotion especially after a wet football game. I have experienced getting cramps on my toes while removing the soccer socks but am thankful that is not gone beyond that.

Stoke 1-1 West Ham Match Highlights and Goals: 09/18/2010

Western Ham took their first point of the Premier League the season with a hard-fought draw against Stoke. Scott Parker put the visiting side ahead after a free kick clearance failed.

Kenwyne Jones leveled with a header and had a strike hit the post by Robert Green, while Robert Huth and Ricardo Fuller also hit the woodwork. West Ham struck the post through Frederic Piquionne, while Thomas Sorensen blocked Manuel da Costa's shot.

It was a tough and uncompromising contest between two teams who began the day in the bottom three. Photos of the match can be viewed below.

A Teammate Prone to Fractures

I had a football club team member who got injured last season. He was physically fit, and on of the most match fit among my team mates. But his bones were not that strong because he often had fractures even back when he was a child.

I think it would have helped if he had consulted a professional who could have advised him about his bone’s condition. Maybe he could have received advise like taking calcium supplements or eating the right kind of foods to help strengthen his bones. Now, he is still injured and still not able to play football.

It's Your Choice

You have to options. You can either take the short cut or the long route. You can try the hard way or a safe but easy way. I’m talking about dieting.

If you plan to go on a strict diet to lose weight, I suggest you read diet pill reviews before using a diet pill. It is the easy way but many athletes prefer the hard way which is exercising. It’s your choice.

Preparing For a Tournament?

If you are in a competition or are still preparing for a tournament, then you better shape up or expect not to win. You need to do everything in your power to be fit in the pitch so you can play the whole 90 minutes.

If you need an app├ętit control pill then find one to help you maintain your weight, keep you in shape easier or to keep you from growing larger and slower.

Aresenal 6-0 Braga Match Highlights and Goals: 09/15/2010

Arsenal made their bid for a first Champions League triumph to the perfect start in the Emirates with a reduction of the Portuguese side Braga. The Gunners took seven minutes to go ahead, Cesc Fabregas scored from the spot after a foul on Marouane Chamakh.

Andrey Arshavin slammed into sublime Fabregas pass, before Jack Wilshere is well established Chamakh to fire home. Fabregas headed home for 4-0 and Carlos Vela dinked in a fifth before he stroked home, wrap it around other things. It was a display that embodies everything BOSS Arsene Wenger prefers to keep apart as his Gunners team snatched the Champions League debutants.

Arsenal took their usual magnetic passing game in the European launch, but they seemed to raise their level a notch above the norm with some fabulous interchanges that Braga spend most of the evening saw chasing shadows.

Working On Abs

For the past few days, I have been doing exercises to target my abs. It has been a long time since I have played football and I used to have no problems with my physique but lately I have become conscious of my abs.

I am doing the exercises and will only take slimming pills when they do not take effect. I hope I am able to continue the exercises regularly.

Cheap Soccer Gear

Buying a new pair of soccer shoes, a set of replica jerseys and other soccer gears will not conflict with your plans to get a car insurance. It is just a matter of knowing where to get them cheap. If you are looking for original gears, I would suggest you wait for the sale. But, you won’t be able to get the latest. I would not suggest for you to get a non-original if you are planning to get soccer shoes because you will sacrifice the quality and durability of the good brands. As for replica jerseys, there are plenty of replica jerseys (not original) that look quite like the original. You can settle for that.

Unused Soccer Shoes

During my trip to Africa, we swung by UAE in Dubai and I was able to purchase football shoes. I though about getting koolaburra boots but when I saw how discounted the price is on a pair of soccer shoes I did not have second thoughts and just bought them. Too bad because I haven’t had any football practice for a few months now so I haven’t gotten to using it yet.

Not Sure About Tomorrow

Investing is one of the best ways to handle one’s earnings, especially for athletes like soccer players. With the risk of getting injured and retiring early always lurking around, it is wise to invest one’s money on things that will make it grow.

Something like a life insurance is a great start because it will help secure the future of the athlete’s family. So better start thinking about this now because you can never be sure about tomorrow.

Soccer Jerseys in Divisoria and Greenhills

Do you know where to Best Buy soccer replica jerseys in Manila, Philippines? It's n Divisoria, in 168 mall. You can actually find the same jerseys in Greenhills, San Juan but the price makes the difference.

In Greenhills Shopping Center, initial price of the jersey top is PHP 550. Other stalls will let the price drop down to PHP 450. But in Divisoria, you can get the same exact jersey for PHP 350. See the huge difference?

An Athlete's Discipline

An athlete, whether he is into soccer or any other sport, must possess great physical endurance, stamina, flexibility and must learn to master the skill required in the sport he plays. He must prepare himself for the difficult tasks ahead and let go of certain things like smoking cigars, drinking and not getting enough sleep. Keep yourself healthy and follow this simple reminders to keep yourself fit.

The 21st Philippine Travel Mart Has Great Promos!

I am excited to go to Davao and Bohol but first I have to book tickets for those trips at the 21st Philippine Travel Mart at the SM Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall. I found a great travel deal to any destination in the Philippines (except Manila-Caticlan and Cebu-Caticlan) for the travel period of April 16 to May 30, 2011 through AirPhilExpress.

The deal is available only at the 21st Philippine Travel Mart from September 3-5, 2010. So, instead of saving up for one of those thule roof racks and installing them on our car, I’d rather fall in line and book my tickets to Davao and Bohol at the 21st Philippine Travel Mart.

Fairly Satisfied with Great Wall Motors Philippines

It has been 3 months now since we got our Peri from Great Wall Motors Philippines. I am glad to say that I have been fairly satisfied with its performance as I regularly drive around Metro Manila, particularly, from Antipolo to Makati City.

There have been no accidents, thank God, so I have not used my auto insurance yet and have not gotten hold of another insurance quote. As for the regular scheduled maintenance, Great Wall Motors Philippines’ service has been awesome. The staff are very courteous and friendly.

Great Wall Motors Philippines have different units available: Hover, Cowry, Florid, Wingle, Cool Bear and our car, the Peri, which is available through order.

Soccer and Going Back to School

Many students are going back to school and many kids will probably be learning soccer for the first time. Some, however, will be going back to the sport that they enjoy playing. Older kids will train and compete in soccer tournaments while college teams are going back to school to maintain their eligibility to stay as part of their soccer teams. As they do away with enjoying wine barrels they will be focusing on improving their endurance and skill in the pitch. So much with back to school soccer.

Overcoming Daily Physical Challenges Without Difficulty

Today, two friends told me that I have gained weight. That is a sign that I need to start getting back to regular exercises like jogging and spending some time playing football. When I do not exercise, I do not feel very agile. I remember during the football season, I used to jog up and down stairs and was able to do it as part of my regular exercise besides jogging.

But now, even just a regular walk up to the Metro Rail Transit while carrying 108R00725 ink sticks and other stuff makes me catch my breath a little. I am not out of shape but I need to get back to appoint that I am physically able to do those challenges without any difficulty.

My Prediction for the SIlva vs Sonnen FIght

Football is the last thing on my mind right now and the first is the UFC 117 sopcast live streaming match between Silva and Sonnen. It is just less than fourteen hours away and forums are busy with comments and discussions about who will win.

I personally think that Anderson Silva is going to remain as the Middleweight champion in this UFC 117 live stream sopcast fight. I predict a win via submission or knockout.

Football Jerseys from Manila

I have been collecting a few football jerseys and the latest ones I have are the international jerseysof Brazil, Argentina and Netherlands from the 2010 South Africa World Cup. I think most of them are away jerseys. I am planning to buy a home jersey of Spain next.

I purchase the jerseys from thrift shops in Manila where anybody can buy stuff like baby clothes, tools, electronic gadgets and other clothes. There are stalls that sell football jerseys and you can buy the plain ones and those with the player name and number.

Busy With Our Youth Ministry Event: PVZ

Tomorrow I won’t be able to push through with my plan to run and play a bit of soccer in Marikina Sports Park because we, in our church’s youth ministry called JIVE Youth, will be very busy preparing for a special event which we entitled PVZ or Plants vs Zombies. We will be giving away prizes to students and plan to raffle out prizes that students could use like bookstore gift certificates, a back pack, pens, sketch pad, etc. (no expensive prizes like a Vacheron Constantin.

The event will be held at our youth center located in Kalayaan Ave., Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City and will start at 4:00 PM, which is a week and a few hours from the UFC 117 sopcast live stream match.

A Football Field That's Uncared For

Today I saw a football field that was left uncared for. It has actually been abused because its owners have allowed for different activities to be held on it and the grass that used to be so green are now gone and you can just see dirt covering the grass that used to be there.

In some portions of the field, especially the goal area, the holes are so deep that you would think diamonds are being mined there. But they are like that because the owners just allow people to play football. That’s a bit of dilemma for the owners, I think. Will they disallow players for a time and rehabilitate the pitch but rob the footballers of their joy, or should they allow them to play their most loved game but let the field suffer? The way the field is being cared for (or uncared for) is just a bit saddening. I hope they notice that soon and start the rehabilitation.

Soccer is Physically Demanding

Playing soccer or football is very physically demanding if you are the type who plays it seriously. A regular match would run for 45 minutes per half, a total of 90 minutes. If you try running for 90 minutes, not just a jog type of run but a full run, while stopping once in a while, that would be so strenuous that it would lower sales of pills like the apidexin. So if you are planning to play football competitively you’ve got to train hard.

Showing Support for Netherlands

I was able to buy 3 Netherlands home jersey for the 2010 World Cup. The one with Sneijder's name on it is mine, the other two are for my son and my wife. I like the fabric that was used on this one because it does not need an instant wrinkle remover because it just hugs the body when it is worn. I will be wearing this to show my support for the Dutch in their campaign to become the world champions.

Underachievers in the 2010 World Cup Finals

Two underachieving national teams will be facing each other in the 2010 World Cup finals in SOuth Africa - Netherlands and Spain. Both teams have not had the opportunity of being crowned world champions in a World Cup tournament but have been playing really great. They have players who are fit for the competition without any need for the best diet pill available.

Both teams have players (Villa and Sneijder) who are on target for the Golden Boot award and have team mates who are very capable of scoring goals. The finals match indeed will be very exciting.

Where to Watch the 2010 World Cup Finals: Netherlands vs Spain

The 2010 World Cup finals between Netherlands and Spain is just more than a day away and I am looking for the best place to watch the game with my wife. In the past matches I have been fairly satisfied with watching online live stream through my TVU player but I am thinking about watching the game with a crowd.

I am thinking about inviting over some friends and watch through merchant account reseller video streaming or event through cable but I don’t want to bother myself to subscribe to either one. The other option is to find a sports bar or a restaurant and invite some friends to watch with me (but I guess I am obliged to treat them). But, anyway, the World Cup finals is in another four years, so what’s a late night out with friends right?

Uruguay vs Europe?

I read an interesting title from a news article in FIFA. It said, “Uruguay vs Europe in the Last Four!” With the semi final matches down to Uruguay vs Netherlands and Germany vs Spain – the lone South American team against three European teams.

It is not because of anything else like an all natural vitamin for their players but it is because they had great team work and great players like Forlan and Suarez (too bad Suarez won’t play against the Netherlands).

But that really is what happened. Many were expecting Brazil or Argentina making it to the last four. If either Brazil or Argentina won their matches then there would have been 50-50 chance between South Americans and Europeans. But now, it’s all up to Uruguay to lift the banner for South American football.

Looking Forward to the 2010 World Cup Semis

I still can’t get over the Netherlands 2-1 Brazil and the Argentina 0-4 Germany quarter finals matches. Two big South American football teams fall behind en route to the 2010 World Cup championships without any hope of coming back even with some roadside assistance club.

With the Germany vs Spain and the Uruguay vs Netherlands semis, I predict a finals match between Netherlands and Germany unless Spain steps up and advances against the Germans. But it will be a very exciting semis, and I am looking forward to tomorrow!

Germany and Ghana Qualifies for Round of 16 in Group D: World Cup 2010

Germany's 1-0 victory against Ghana made them the winner in the Group stage of the 2010 World Cup in Group D. This has made them qualify for the Round of 16. Ghana's loss did not remove them from second ranking in their group even as Australia scored 2-1 against Serbia because they are on top due to goal difference.

If Australia's loss to Germany in the first game in their group was not 4-0, Australia would have had a chance to rank second. Australians would have celebrated and felt like enjoying shoebuy coupons if that happened.

But right now, Germany and Ghana both enter the Round of 16 of the 2010 World Cup as the 7th and 8th teams to qualify. Eight more teams await qualification from Groups E to H.

Denmark vs Japan Preview and Prediction

In one of the final matches in Group E of the 2010 World Cup, Denmark will be facing Japan. The winner of this match will automatically qualify for the Round of 16. A draw between these two countries will send Japan into the next stage of the World Cup 2010.

With both teams coming from a loss to Netherlands and a win against another team, Japan is second in rank as Denmark conceded 2 goals in their loss to the Oranje while Japan conceded only one.

Fans will be bringing their vuvuzuela toys and will be cheering for their teams but I personally predict a draw for the Denmark vs Japan match.

Group D - Ghana vs Germany and Australia vs Serbia Preview, Analysis and Prediction: World Cup 2010

Ghana and Germany, the first and second in the Group D rankings in the World Cup 2010 are scheduled to face off at 20:30 South Africa time simultaneous with the Australia vs Serbia match.

Ghana comes from a victory and a draw but have scored a goal on both games. Germany, on the other hand comes from a 4-0 win on its first game and a goalless loss against Serbia in its last outing. Ghana will avoid a loss to keep itself qualified for the Round of 16 while Germany will be desperate to win in case the Australia vs Serbia does not draw. A win from either Serbia or Australia will and a loss by Germany will put the winner of the mentioned match in the second rank of Group D. Between Ghana and Germany, I predict Germany to win but Ghana will fight back to avoid disqualification in case Serbia wins against Australia.

For the Australia vs Serbia. I predict a win by Serbia which comes from a win against Germany but a loss against Ghana. Australia, on the other hand, has never won a game in the group stage but still has a chance to qualify for the next stage if they win with at least 2 goals and Ghana loses goalless. Group D performance makes Serbia the possible winner against Australia.

England and USA Qualify for Round of 16: World Cup 2010

A single goal by Jermain Defoe was enough to send England to the next stage of the World Cup 2010. Meanwhile, a goal by Landon Donovan in injury time suddenly took USA from third to first in the Group C rankings, letting them qualify for the Round of 16 together with England.

Wednesday, June 23, 2010

Slovenia vs England Preview and Personal Prediction: World Cup 2010

In this preview of the Slovenia - England Group Stage match (Group C), Slovenia is coming from a win against Algeria (0-1) and a draw against USA (2-2). Slovenia is avoiding a loss to qualify. That means that a win or a draw will get them into the Round of 16.

England, on the other hand comes from two draws, the first was against USA (1-1) and the other against Algeria (0-0) which did not concede a goal in their match. The only way for England to qualify is to win the match. A loss will surely disqualify them from advancing to the next round while a draw, even if USA draws with Algeria in the simultaneous match will disqualify them because of the greater number of goals scored by USA in all group matches between the two of them. A goalfest for England is unlikely so getting at least 3 goals, assuming that USA draws with Algeria and both are scoreless, is a long shot.

But, with England's many good players, they have a real chance to shine in this match. I predict a win by England and a qualification in the Round of 16 for this 2010 World Cup.

Will Watch the Uruguay vs France match live from Africa

I am looking forward to watch the match between Uruguay and France today live from Africa. I am sure that millions of people all over the world are tuning in to witness who will win in this game. Meanwhile, I will have to finish up some tasks I have to accomplish. Some research on asbestos mesothelioma and photos from our trip to organize. Hoping for the best team to win!

David Beckham's marriage on the rocks?

Rumors have it that David Beckham’s marriage is on the rocks. We certainly hope this is not true. As if Beckham's torn Achilles tendon injury wasn’t bad enough. Here comes yet another challenge for the acclaimed footballer.

The marriage troubles were said to trace back from David Beckham’s wanting to have another baby. Victoria is not up to it and wants to get back to revive her career which she has put on hold for a while now. But David is said to want a baby girl this time. We’re hoping that the Beckhams will have everything resolved else the celebrated grand wedding with all those posh wedding decorations will all be put to waste. Fans are also looking forward to David Beckham getting back in his groove without distractions.

African Teams in the 2010 World Cup

The people of Kenya are physically well built for athleticism. Most Africans are that is why we can not discount the chances of having an African team get into the quarter and semi finals of the 2010 World Cup which will kick off a few days from now.

But their country’s superstars are not enough to make them win even though they are so physically fit that they don’t need top rated diet pills. They need to work as a team, solid both in offense and defense.

Will Beckham Be Back in the 2014 World Cup?

Hollywood film star Tom Cruise thinks David Beckham will play in the 2014 World Cup for England, despite the fact that he will be almost 40.

Beckham, 35, has been ruled out of this year's tournament with an Achilles tendon injury but the actor is backing the midfielder to pull off a Mission Impossible to play in Brazil in four years.

The pair became good friends after Beckham signed for Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007 and Cruise told The Sun: "I wish he was playing in the World Cup this year but he will be back for the next one you know."

Instead of collecting pictures like eczema pictures, I will busy myself with collecting pictures of David Beckham in preparation for hi possible comeback.

I Will Watch From Kenya

When the World Cup 2010 starts in June 11, I will be in Nairobi, Kenya for a missions trip. I do intend to watch the games that I can watch. I’ll be finishing writing about an adult acne treatment post and then focus on the games. I am looking forward to watching the England vs USA match on June 12 as I will be with American friends.

Needing Exercise

It has been a few weeks since I have had exercise. I am not joining any football games or tournaments, but I just feel that it is important for me to keep myself in shape and fit.

I am not promising myself anything like the sensa weight loss scam but I am aware of the benefits of exercise. I just hope I can restart exercising or playing football again.

England's Defense: Disorganized and Nervous?

Fabio Capello was glad to see King of Tottenham play the whole 90 minutes during England’s match against Mexico where they won, 3-1. Capello was relieved to see King play during the whole game and maybe he thought King had no need of herbal diet supplements.

England's defense was described in BBC as disorganised and nervous, that it was not surprising to see when Mexico pulled a goal back on the stroke of half time. England is part of Group C together with Algeria, Slovenia and USA.

Invitation to Play

This last week I received a text message from one our football club members and mentioned about another tournament on the 30th. It’s too bad that most of the tournaments fall on a Sunday which is why I am not able to join. But it is still okay since I have been practicing here in our own area outside the house and far from the patio furniture and not being able to join them then I guess I do deserve not to participate. But am thankful that at least I still get invitations from them to play.

About Alli

I have come across the substance called alli. Even as I blog and ask about this, I am searching for some information about it.

What is its function? Can is assist football players? Is it expensive? This is a follow up post to what I was asking in the last blog entry. I have become more specific about the name of the substance.

Online Vitamin Stores

What vitamins would you recommend for those who are trying to get fit but also trying to increase their stamina. Is there a vitamin store that is recommended? How about food supplements?

Please try to suggest as many substances, elements or specific names of food supplements and vitamin capsules that you take or have taken so I can also recommend them to our club members.

Trainings Ongoing for Another Tournament

Our club will be joining another tournament this end of the month and preparations and trainings have intensified. Players are encouraged to sleep early to not use eye cream to trainings, eat healthy and train hard.

In the last tournament we joined, I remember how we almost got into the finals. We were leading 3-1 during the first half but lost 4-3 for poor defending. But, it was really more for the lack of fitness of players, and their not being able to play 100% during the game. We are hoping to not let this happen again.

One Point Lead Championship

With Chelsea winning the Premier League this year, Manchester United will be under pressure to perform better in the next season.

This is where we see how important every game in football is. The one point lead by Chelsea was not a comfortable lead but was enough to crown them this year’s champions.

Staff of each club must be preparing so much office supplies to be able to focus much on the preparations for the next season. Who do you want to win next season?

Taking Care of the Football Field in Marikina Sports Park

Summer has not officially ended yet in our country and there is still plenty of time to enjoy the beach, play football and ride an atv. At the Marikina Sports Park, the administration has been growing the grass of the football field despite the very hot summer we’re having. This morning, it was nice to see the football field being taken cared of. I am looking forward to playing with my club in a tournament there again.

Liverpool 0-2 Chelsea Match Highlights and Goals: 05/02/2010

Chelsea moved to the brink of the Premier League title as they cruised to a comfortable victory against Liverpool at Anfield. Carlo Ancelotti's side must beat Wigan at home on the final day of the season to guarantee the crown, following Manchester United's later 1-0 win at Sunderland. After a slow start at Anfield, they were put on the path towards the title by Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who gifted Didier Drogba the opening goal after 33 minutes with a dreadful backpass that left the striker with an easy job of scoring in front of The Kop. The goal, and the manner in which it was conceded, ended Liverpool's fleeting resistance and Chelsea cantered to victory.

Sunderland 0-1 Manchester United Match Highlights and Goal: 05/02/2010

Nani scored the only goal as Manchester United overcame Sunderland to ensure the Premier League title race will go down to the final day of the season. With leaders Chelsea beating Liverpool earlier in the day to go four points clear, United knew they had to win. Nani drilled them ahead before Dimitar Berbatov missed two chances and headed a third onto the bar, while a Michael Carrick shot was cleared off the line. Sunderland threatened sporadically but United held firm for an imperative win.

Body Weight and Body Mass Index

Being aware of your body weight and body mass index (BMI), a statistical measure which compares a person's weight and height, can help you see how you are doing physically. It does not, in any way, show or measure actual body fat or stamina but it is, a lot of times, proportional to how fit you are. In your exercises check weighing scales and start becoming aware of your body weight and BMI.

A Few Laps in Marikina Sports Park

Today is a non-working holiday here in our country and I am planning to spend some time to rest for a while but do some exercises later in the day. I hope to visit Marikina Sports Park and run a few laps there.

I like that venue because it has a stone sink within its area where I can get some water for washing hands and even for drinking if I need to. I know that there are other areas where people jog but I really prefer this place over them.

The Adidas MiCoach and a Treadmill Challenge

Weeks ago I joined the Adidas treadmill challenge in Bonifacio Highstreet. It was the launching of the Adidas MiCoach here in the Philippines.

Each participant in the challenge were given 10 minutes on the treadmill and the top five who ran the longest distance won prizes. The first prize was the MiCoach from Adidas.

Sad to say, I ran only 1.88 km in ten minutes. The top winner ran 2.88km. That was a real challenge for me to get myself back in shape. It would be great to go running equipped with an Adidas MiCoach.

The Football Field in Marikina

I was surprised to see rain this afternoon. I was not on my way to play football, thankfully, but I did think about the pitch in Marikina Sports Park where our club, Marikina United usually practice. The weatherization training experiences we’ve had on the grass of the football field plus the high temperature and humidity has caused the field to deteriorate. But, I was just glad that it rained a bit. That’s what the football field in Marikina needed.

Playing Football in My Age

A nice game of football played regularly is enough to put me down in bed. At my age, I can still play football but I would need to work extra hard on my flexibility and speed. That also includes endurance and stamina. Everytime I go back to exercise and work outs after weeks of skipping the exercise schedule, I feel that the exercise routines take its toll on my body that a sleeping pill would not be necessary to put me down on my bed. I just hope that I would be able to get back to playing again soon.

Getting Back in Shape for Nairobi

I’ll be going to Nairobi, Kenya in June and I need to get in shape because I have been informed that many of the high school students we will be meeting there are into soccer. There may be a time when we will be playing soccer with them so I need to get back in shape.

I have been reading hydroxycut advanced reviews but I do not think I would need such weight loss supplements. I think what works best for me is running or jogging a few laps around the 400-m oval and then playing a bit of soccer. I will start to do these in a few days.

Football Player Kisses Teammate: Gary Neville - Paul Scholes

In the last match of Manchester United where they won against rival Manchester City with one goal, football player Garey Neville sealed the goal of Paul Scholes with a kiss - not on the cheek but on the lips. Scholes scored the winner just a few seconds before the end of the game (90+3") which was perhaps the reason, not because Scholes uses the best adult acne treatment, Neville was not able to keep himself from expressing his fondness for his teammate's goal.

Paul Scholes headed in Patrice Evra's cross to give the Red Devils a third decisive injury-time goal against their arch-rivals. Below is the photo of the "kissing scene" between Gary Neville and Paul Scholes.

Children and Football

Being a parent has not kept me from playing my favorite sport which is soccer or football. I have a four-year-old son and this has actually inspired me more to play the game because I want to teach my son how to play it when he’s ready. Parents like Bob Duallie do not have to be limited by their children. In fact, kids can be our partners in learning and playing the game.

Manchester City 0-1 Manchester United Premier League Match Highlights: 04/17/2010

Paul Scholes kept Manchester United's Premier League title hopes alive as his dramatic winner seconds from the end sunk Manchester City at Eastlands. Scholes settled a scrappy affair when he headed Patrice Evra's cross past Shay Given to give United a third decisive injury-time goal against their arch-rivals this season.

0-1 Paul Scholes 90+3"

The visitors were on the verge of having to settle for a draw that would surely have ended their title challenge until Scholes, who signed a new one-year contract on Friday, sent manager Sir Alex Ferguson dancing along the Eastlands touchline in delight.

It was also a sickening blow for City, who had been hoping to step up their claims for a place in the top four and deliver a show of their renewed strength to United.

The match video highlights can be viewed below.

How to Play the Total 90 Minutes in the Pitch

Making regular runs keeps one fit. I read once that to be able to run and play the total 90 minutes in the pitch, one has to run around 25 laps in a 400-m track oval.

This is aside from the regular drills and speed trainings done. When a football player is able to do this, playing the full football game will let him feel like he is breathing around a dehumidifier and would breathe a lot easier. Why not set this as a goal?

Arsenal 1-0 Wolverhampton Match Highlights and Goal: 04/03/2010

A header from Nicklas Bendtner four minutes into injury-time kept Arsenal's title challenge alive as they snatched victory against 10-man Wolves.

The Gunners seemed set to drop decisive points until substitute Bendtner rose to head home Bacary Sagna's cross. The hosts dominated the game but were frustrated by their own inability in front of goal and Wolves' persistence.

Update on Wayne Rooney's Injury

England striker Wayne Rooney could return for Manchester United as early as 17 April for the Premier League clash against Manchester City, but he definitely misses their next three games.

A club statement said: "We're pleased to report that Wayne has not suffered a fracture (to his ankle). The scan revealed only minor ligament damage."

Wayne Rooney injured

It is not yet known how many games the striker will miss for United but it is definite that there will be no funeral planning for the striker's career. He will be up an running after two to three weeks.

Wayne Rooney, apparently in the form of his life, twisted his right ankle on landing awkwardly after Mario Gomez had trodden on his left foot in the build-up to Bayern's winner late in the match.

Capello invites David Beckham to World Cup 2010

England coach Fabio Capello has invited David Beckham to join the England squad at the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, despite the midfielder's ankle injury.

"We have asked Beckham to come to South Africa with us," Capello said. "It depends on him and how his tendon injury is," continued the Italian. "It's obvious he won't be able to play because we have to wait six months."

Beckham had surgery in Finland on Monday but the former England captain, 34, will not be fit for South Africa. England and Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick says that Beckham's presence within the World Cup party would be welcomed by the squad.

"I think the manager has invited him along in some capacity and however he comes along I'm sure for the lads in the squad it will be good to see him," he said. "It will give the lads a big boost because he's just got that presence, and great players have that. He's got that all-round presence that people respond to."

Beckham, England's most capped outfield player with 115 appearances, had been bidding to become the first England player to feature in four successive World Cup finals.

Ready for a Brand New Car

It’s just about one more month to go before we can purchase a brand new car. We are looking at buying a car with a 1.3-liter engine and hopefully something that is not too expensive.

We have found a new brand and will be trying it out. We’re glad that they can include insurance and the three-year registration on it so I won’t have to surf the web and search for car insurance at I am excited to eventually bring the new car to football practice and I hope that everything goes well.

Resting for a Week

Next week, I might not be able to blog so much for Football Videos and Pictures. I will be going out of town for a summer youth camp that I helped organize. The summer youth camp is entitled Level Up.

I have been busy these past few months directing the whole summer youth camp and trying to establish contacts with possible sponsors. Thankfully, we were able to partner with Canon Philippines who sponsored two video camcorders, a VIXIA FS200 and a VIXIA FS21. We included their company’s logo in our souvenir programs before we sent them to the rack card printing shop. As of today, we are still waiting for another company to finalize their partnership with us in the summer youth camp.

Bayern Munich 2-1 Manchester United Premier League Match Highlights and Goals: 03/30/2010

Ivica Olic hit an injury-time winner to give Bayern Munich the advantage after the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final with Manchester United. United took the lead after only 66 seconds when Wayne Rooney volleyed in six yards out from Nani's free-kick. But Franck Ribery's deflected free-kick set up a dramatic finale, rounded off by Olic's cool run and finish after a defensive error by Patrice Evra. United's misery was made complete when Rooney limped off with an ankle injury.

0-1 Wayne Rooney 2"

2-1 Ivica Olic 90+2"

Many of you have heard about the injury of David Beckham during the AC Milan 1-0 victory over AC Chievo. Portsmouth 0-5 Chelsea Premier League Match Highlights and Goals: 03/24/2010

Chelsea moved into second place in the Premier League and to within one point of leaders Manchester United with an emphatic win at bottom club Portsmouth.

After a low-key start, Didier Drogba rolled the ball into an empty net after David James kicked at thin air. Florent Malouda slammed in a second before following up Frank Lampard's saved shot to slot in a third. Drogba outmuscled Steve Finnan and fired in at the near post before Lampard headed in an injury-time fifth. It took them a while to hit their stride but when once they did, Chelsea imposed themselves on the game in a manner that has eluded them, to costly ends, in recent matches.

Goal photos to follow soon.

Catching Up with a Teammate

Last week when I went to Marikina Sports Park to jog I bumped into one of my teammates in our football club Marikina United FC. We had the opportunity to catch up. That would probably give you an idea about how long I haven’t been able to join them in practice.

Well, actually football practices have become less frequent. We used to hold practices twice a week but now it’s just once a week. Not that they have been busy with things like prescription acne medicationn, no. School has been a priority by many of the students in the team. I’m just glad we were able to catch up and am looking forward to another tournament.

Running for Different Reasons

Lately, more and more running events are being organized for a variety of reasons. There are runs organized for competition, for fun, for the environment and for helping a worthwhile cause.

These events are great and are a lot better than the best weight loss pills available. But for those who can’t run, then pills are an alternative. So when was the last time you joined a running event?

Update On David Beckham's Injury and Surgery

David Beckham has underwent surgery in Finland and is now in the process of rehabilitation. Beckham's leg is expected to be in a cast for three to four weeks and in a support for a similar length of time but he has already started to use crutches.

A statement from AC Milan said: "The rehabilitation plan has been established and will start immediately. For the first two weeks, the footballer must not put pressure on the injured limb and then he will do so progressively and partially for six weeks before doing specific therapy in the swimming pool. The plan foresees a complete recovery in six months, after which he will be able to play again."

This is good news and many fans are hopeful that he will make a comeback. The former England captain, who is in his second loan stint with AC Milan from his Major League Soccer club, was injured in the 87th minute of AC Milan's 1-0 win against AC Chievo. Beckham was unchallenged and felt not even a single joint pain before he suffered the problem and limped off before being carried away on a stretcher.

Manchester United 3-0 Fulham Premier League Match Highlights and Goals: 03/14/2010

Wayne Rooney scored twice as Manchester United beat Fulham to move two points clear at the top of the Premier League. Rooney, who saw a long-range strike saved in the opening 45 minutes, slotted home from 12 yards after just 30 seconds of the second half.

Mark Schwarzer denied Darren Fletcher but Rooney turned on like one of those KVM switches and sealed the points with a low strike across goal after superb approach work from Dimitar Berbatov. A teasing cross from Ji-Sung Park was then headed home by Berbatov.

David Beckham Injury Photos and Report: Torn Achilles Tendon

In the AC Milan 1-0 AC Chievo, David Beckham suffered a torn Achilles tendon in his left foot, photos of which can be seen below. The injury occurred when Beckham was by himself with the ball at his feet. He shifted his weight and immediately realized there was a problem, reaching his hand down to his left heel.

David Beckham then stood up and snapped his wrists like he was breaking a twig in half in a gesture to show the sideline that he knew his Achilles tendon was broken.

Visibly in pain and in tears, Beckham went to the sideline for medical attention, leaving Milan with 10 men because all three substitutes had already been used.

Consultant sports physician Dr Tom Crisp said, "It's remotely possible he may be running in three months. The chances of him being fit to play for England are non-existent." AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani said that the Englishman will be out for "probably five or six months".

Beckham was unchallenged when he suffered the injury and hobbled off in pain before being stretchered away.

AC Milan's club physician, Jean Pierre Meersseman said that Beckham will fly to Finland on Monday for surgery, where he will be treated by specialist surgeon Sakari Orava. "He'll go to Finland tomorrow and will be operated on probably tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday morning," Meersseman said. Credits to for the photos of David Beckham's injury (broken Achilles tendon).

Manchester United 4-0 AC Milan (Agg 7-2) Champions League Match Highlights and Goals: 03/10/2010

David Beckham's return to Old Trafford was brief and ended in the disappointment of comprehensive defeat as Manchester United swept past AC Milan into the Champions League quarter-finals. Beckham only made a 27-minute appearance as a substitute, and while he was deservedly given a rapturous reception on the ground where he was once idolized, he found himself overshadowed by Wayne Rooney's latest masterclass.

AC Milan's hopes of reaching the last eight were already extinguished by the time Beckham entered to a standing ovation with United leading 3-0 - and Rooney was the man responsible as he repeated his two-goal demolition of the Italians at the San Siro on home territory.

Rooney headed United in front from Gary Neville's cross early on and extended United's 3-2 advantage from the first leg even further seconds after half-time after good work by Nani. Ji-Sung Park drilled in the third on the hour as United exerted complete control. Darren Fletcher added the fourth with a diving header from Rafael's cross three minutes from time to put added gloss on a hugely satisfying evening for Sir Alex Ferguson as he bids to take United to the Champions League final for the third season in succession.

Wolverhampton 0-1 Manchester United Premier League Match highlights and Goals: 03/06/2010

Paul Scholes grabbed the winner to earn Manchester United a laboured win over strugglers Wolves and send his side back to the top of the Premier League. The 35-year-old ran onto Nani's pass in the box, turned past Christophe Berra, and slid home the winner on 73 minutes. Scholes's 100th Premier League goal spared the blushes of a United side clearly missing the cutting edge of the injured Wayne Rooney. Wolves battled well but wasted several chances to put the pressure on United.

Increasing My Blog's Traffic

As the football World Cup 2010 in South Africa nears, more and more people start to look for their team’s jerseys and accessories more than wedding accessories. Since this blog is about football, I may need to start broadening the topics I write about. I hope to increase the number of visits here in my blog and am willing to learn. Any suggestions?

Missing Exercise Moments

I have missed the times when I would run around the 400-m race track and use my Bluetooth headset as I go around it many times. Lately, I have not been keeping myself fit through jogging.

I do not want to give any excuses but the truth is I have been very busy that I just can’t fit it into my schedule. That’s why I was glad to have spent some time exercising last Friday.

Burnley equalised when David Nugent latched on to Leon Cort's header and looped the ball over Manuel Almunia. Theo Walcott curled in a sublime shot to ease the embarrassment of Nicklas Bendtner's awful finishing before Andrey Arshavin rifled in a third.
