Fulham 0-1 Arsenal Match Photo

Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone was the hero as the Gunners secured an untypically scrappy victory at Fulham. The Italian made stunning one-handed saves from two Andrew Johnson headers and also parried Zoltan Gera's drive.

Fulham were the better of the two teams, but Arsenal won it when Cesc Fabregas clipped a pass for Robin van Persie to take a touch and fire home.

A picture of the goal celebration can be seen below.

Manchester United 4-3 Manchester City Match Photos 09/21/09

Michael Owen's winning goal deep into stoppage time gave Manchester United a dramatic victory in a classic derby encounter at Old Trafford.

Owen, on as a substitute for Dimitar Berbatov, pounced in trademark fashion to beat Manchester City's defiant goalkeeper Shay Given and provoke hugely contrasting emotions in the technical area. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson set off on an impromptu wild dance along the touchline - while City counterpart Mark Hughes immediately demanded to know how the decisive moment of a thrilling game could come almost six minutes into four minutes of stoppage time.

Wayne Rooney put United ahead after two minutes, but City swiftly restored equality when Tevez took advantage of Ben Foster's hesitation to provide the opportunity for Gareth Barry's equalizer. Darren Fletcher restored United's lead with a header just after half-time, but Bellamy ensured parity quickly returned with a thunderous 25-yard effort. United mounted ceaseless pressure and only the efforts of keeper Given kept them at bay as he defied Berbatov twice and the truly outstanding Ryan Giggs.

Fletcher looked to have finally confirmed the three points for United with another header 10 minutes from time, but as Ferguson moved to the touchline and ordered his side to nail down the win, a moment of madness from defender Rio Ferdinand looked to have thrown away two points.

He gifted possession to City substitute Martin Petrov, who sent Bellamy away to beat a poorly-positioned Foster to score. Craig Bellamy looked to have earned City an unlikely point as they came from behind for the third time to level only seconds before the end of the 90 minutes.

Chelsea 3-0 Tottenham Hotspurs Match Photos 09/20/09

Chelsea thumped London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs to move back to the top of the Premier League and continue their 100% winning start to the season.

Jose Bosingwa hit the woodwork for Chelsea before Ashley Cole headed home Didier Drogba's cross at the far post.

Spurs had opportunities to score too, and felt they should have had a penalty when Ricardo Carvalho clipped Robbie Keane.

Three minutes later, Michael Ballack sent home Chelsea's second goal and Drogba ran clear to finalize their win.

No Win Against Aging

In football, age can become a great factor in affecting one’s game. Yes, exercise and maintaining a physically fit body can help but only as much as the best wrinkle cream can for the face of a person getting old but both can only do a little as compared to the natural aging of the body. It is better to try to reach your peak at an early age.

A Football Field in Baguio City

I am excited to go to Baguio City. It’s a nice place to play football and I am glad that the accommodations we were able to arrange has its own football field. I plan to jog and play every morning during our stay there. Not that I want to pursue how to burn fat, I just want to keep myself in shape because I haven’t been playing soccer lately. I just need the exercise.

Liverpool 1-0 Debrecen: Photo of Goal

Liverpool opened their Champions League campaign in unconvincing fashion with a narrow win over Hungarian champions Debrecen.

Dirk Kuyt's goal in first-half stoppage time settled an undistinguished encounter played out in a strangely subdued Anfield atmosphere.

Kuyt swept home the winner after Debrecen keeper Vukasin Poleksic failed to hold a low shot from Fernando Torres.

Anticipating the Hype of the 2010 World Cup

Soccer or football is the most popular sport in the world. As 2010 is just around the corner, I can’t wait to feel the hype of the 2010 FIFA World Cup intensify here in the Philippines – even in a country where football is not that popular. And as I think about how the World Cup in South Africa will drive the whole world crazy, many online football sites will try their best to catch at least bits and pieces of the traffic from searches of this very popular sports event.

Football Betting will surely spread like wildfire and people will hope to cash in on each match, especially the finals. Soccer News will be filled with stories about heroes of each country who make it to the final 16 and sad stories of national teams who have fought hard but still did not make it to the list.

This blog on the other hand will try to share bits and pieces of the action in the pitch. It’s not Fantasy Football at all but real stories with pictures and hopefully videos of the fantastic and dramatic goals in each match. It is less than a year to go and I am already excited. I am sure other football fanatics will be, too.

Where to Download HD Videos of Premiere League Matches

For the on going Premiere League matches, it would be nice to view or download HD videos, as clear as bluray videos, of the matches or at least the goals. Right now, my sources in the past have stopped providing downloads of soccer videos but I am really hoping that I would be able to find other sources right away so I can provide readers or followers of my blog videos aside from pictures.

Bolton 2-3 Liverpool Premiere League Photos

Liverpool twice caught up to beat a stubborn Bolton side, who had Sean Davis harshly sent off. Kevin Davies put the hosts ahead when he tapped in from a corner only for Glen Johnson to equalize with a low shot into the bottom corner. Tamir Cohen restored Bolton's lead with a volley but then Davis was given a second caution for a foul on Lucas. Steven Gerrard hit the bar before Fernando Torres finished clinically and Gerrard rifled in the winner late on.
