Visit BlueWater Day Spa at Capitol Hills After a Football Match

It has been a while since I played soccer for our team Marikina United FC. With the resumption of the NCRFA Terry Razon Copa Filipina tournament (third division), I will make it a point to be able to join my football club for the games in the coming weeks.

I remember, before the 2008 holiday season, each game we played week after week was so intense that I felt like getting a whole body massage after.

For this season's resumption, especially after the games we play at the Ateneo Football field, I intend to pay a visit to the BlueWater Day Spa at Capitol Hills, Quezon City. This is situated at the heart of the Capitol Hills Golf Club, a very green and relaxing nestling ground for the newly opened branch.

I hope to avail of their full body massage in their private room after a football match. I'm sure it would be a great reward after a win or a comfort after a loss.

For those of you interested to try this new branch in Capitol Hills, I've attached a map below and typed in the address.

Liverpool Holds Momentum, Beats Aston Villa (5-0)

Liverpool continued to pressure faltering Premier League leaders Manchester United as they beat Aston Villa aside with another goal spree at Anfield. Steven Gerrard gave his team the inspiration with his first Premier League hat-trick - two from the spot - as Liverpool sent out another emphatic statement of intent about their renewed title ambitions.

Rafael Benitez celebrated signing a new five-year contract by watching his side seal victory by half-time as they established a lead of three goals - building the platform for a victory that leaves Liverpool just a point behind the Champions League leaders after their shock defeat at Fulham. Liverpool then added in two more crucial strikes after the interval to extend their goal difference beyond the Red Devils', a factor that could become decisive in the coming weeks.

Manchester United may still have that crucial game in hand, but the huge shift in momentum since Liverpool's win at Old Trafford has all at Anfield seriously believing they can overhaul their fierce rivals in the run-in.

Missing Soccer Matches on Cable TV

We stopped our cable subscription more than a year ago but now that we have a 32" LCD in our living room, I miss it so much. Before, I used to watch football matches (Champions League and the FA Cup) through our small television set but with a home theater now available, I really miss watching cable TV shows especially soccer matches from the current leagues and past games.

Fulham Defeats Champions League Leader Manchester United, 2-0

Two players of Manchester United, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney, were sent off as the Red Devils' title hopes took another shock blow at Fulham. Scholes was sent off in the 18th minute for handling Bobby Zamora's header, Danny Murphy converting the penalty. And as United campaigned for a second-half equalizer, Zoltan Gera struck on the break with a superb control and finish. Making things worse for Manchester United, Rooney threw the ball away in frustration to earn a second booking on a miserable day for United, whose lead could be cut to one point. It was a historic win for Fulham, as it was for United - although not one they will look back on with any happy memories.

Pictures of the match can be viewed below care of bbc.co.uk.

Apology From Football Videos and Pictures

I would like to apologize for the regular readers and visitors of Football Videos and Pictures. Recently, I have been having a hard time downloading and uploading videos, and I am not sure if it is because I need to upgrade my notebook memory or because of some problems with my internet connection.

If you have noticed, some of the Champions League and Premiere League match reports sometimes just have pictures instead of videos. I hope for your continued patronage and I hope you would continue to visit Football Videos and Pictures.

Chelsea WIns Easily Over Manchester City, 1-0

Chelsea kept it close to title rivals Manchester United and Liverpool with an easy victory over Manchester City. Michael Essien provided the only goal using his shin when he diverted Frank Lampard's free-kick into the right top corner. The score barely reflected the Blues' dominance as their tactical passing moves left Manchester City chasing shadows.

Yahoo! Finally after a few weeks of not hearing from our football club, this evening, I received a text message about our scheduled tune up match tomorrow at 4 in the afternoon at the Marikina Sports Park. I could go there after shooing around for Discount Blinds and stuff and then get back home to prepare for an event coverage at Eastwood City. I can’t wait to play football again.

Juventus, Defeated by Chelsea Who Makes it to Champions League Quarter Finals

Chelsea secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League despite a great challenge from Juventus, with a 2-2 score (agg 2-3). The hosts dominated from the start and went ahead when David Trezeguet played in Vincenzo Iaquinta to clip home. Chelsea thought Didier Drogba's free-kick had gone over the line, before Michael Essien bundled in from a yard. Juve had Giorgio Chiellini sent off but Alessandro del Piero scored with a penalty kick after Juliano Belletti was called for a handball before Drogba's strike in the 83rd minute settled it.

A Retirement Resource

As a guy who loves football and works full time with social security, I find it important to enjoy life with what I have. Working every day, playing soccer once in a while, joining tournaments every year - it’s really a pretty simple life to live.

But people like me should think about not just the present. What about 20 to 30 years from now? What about retirement? How is life going to be when there is no more job to support me? What about those who retire without social security, no pension and no savings?

A web site that will prove to be very helpful for those in retirement is RetirementLivingNow.com. This online resource’s operation is overseen by Retirement Living Information Center for the purpose of helping individuals who are about to make decisions about their retirement.

They have links to different resources like a directory of retirement communities, retirement destinations, lists of web sites that post jobs for seniors (those who are aged 50 and above), links to online stores that offer a wide range of products and services, links to lists of books that can help seniors maximize their life at their age and many others.

The information in these links can go a long way for those who are planning about their retirement. Manchester United Breezes Past Fulham, 0-4

Manchester United continue their campaign for a historic quintuple after easing past Fulham into the FA Cup semi-finals. Carlos Tevez sent in a header for the opener in the 20th minute and added his second goal 10 minutes before half-time, with a 25-yard bender into the top corner.

Newcastle Defeated as Manchester United Come from Behind, 1-2

Manchester United survived from being down early in a match when they conceded an early goal at Newcastle. The Red Devils came from behind and secured a win that tightened their grip on the Premier League title race.

A rare blunder from keeper Edwin van der Sar gave Peter Lovenkrands the chance to give Newcastle the lead in the 9th minute when he dropped a tame shot from Jonas Gutierrez. He probably anticipated a strong shot but found out late that it wasn't when it bounced before he got a hand on it.

But Wayne Rooney leveled in the 20th minute and Ryan Taylor's mistake allowed Ji-Sung Park to set up Dimitar Berbatov for a simple strike in the 56th minute that leaves United seven points clear of Chelsea and Liverpool with a game in hand.

Videos of the goals of the match can be viewed below.

How to Give Gifts to Football Lovers

SO what is a good idea for gifts for football fanatic? Being a person who loves football what I would appreciate is an original jersey of a prominent football club or a national team jersey. A new pair of football shoes would also work or tickets to a football match. It is not hard to think of sports gifts for football lovers. Just try to imagine what it’s like to be in our shoes.

Chelsea Win 2-1 vs Wigan, Keeps Title Hopes Alive

Frank Lampard's late header broke Wigan hearts to send Chelsea second in the Premier League table and keep alive their lingering title chances. John Terry's spectacular mid-air volley in the 25th minute had put the Londoners in the lead despite Wigan dominating the early exchanges. Oliver Kapo seemed to have earned the visitors a point with a late goal of his own, turning in Maynor Figueroa's teasing cross with eight minutes to go. But in injury time Frank Lampard looped a header past Chris Kirkland.

Football: A Team, Not an Individual Sport

Getting a great player in your football club is like having a jewelry for your keeping. When the player develops and plays better and better, the higher his value is. But in local non-professional football, many teams value loyalty so it is not good to put a price on a player. Whether pro or amateur, each player in a team is valuable and the team’s overall performance should be given more value.

Drogba's Goal: Chelsea 1-0 Juventus

Didier Drogba's early goal gave Chelsea a slight advantage over Juventus after a tight encounter in the last 16 of the Champions League at Stamford Bridge. Drogba sent in Salomon Kalou's great pass in the 13th minutes but former Chelsea coach Claudio Ranieri will have real hope for the second leg in Turin. Juventus did give Chelsea anxious moments, with keeper Petr Cech saving brilliantly from Alessandro del Piero. Pavel Nedved was also just off target late on, but Chelsea held on to win.

Below is a video of the goal.
