Other Hobbies Besides Football

Besides playing football, you may have other hobbies like playing a musical instrument, reading books or hiking. So, do you have plans to take a hiking adventure soon? As you likely already know, hiking can be fun and exciting, but it can be dangerous at the same time. Of course, there are a number of different things that you can take to protect yourself on your upcoming hiking adventure aside from making sure you have a life insurance and below are just a few tips.

The first tip is to identify a hiking trail as early as possible. The sooner that you choose your hiking trail, the easier it will be to familiarize yourself with where you will be hiking. I suggest that you take the difficulty level into consideration.

Once you have made a decision on the hiking trial you would like to hike on, take the time to fully familiarize yourself with the trail. If you can get a map of the target hiking trail, examine it closely so you can know exactly where you are at all times. Make sure to bring the map with you on the hiking trip.

Another way to stay safe is by making sure that you have all of the right hiking equipment and hiking supplies you need. You need to prepare snacks, a compass, enough supply of water, first aid supplies, the right gars and clothing, a flashlight and materials to start a fire(especially if you are planning to camp overnight) and other important stuff.

Safety and security should always be considered. Even in the security of our life, having a life insurance is also important. For insurance needs, visit

Manchester United Gets On Top With Win vs Bolton

Dimitar Berbatov's late goal sent champions Manchester United to the top of the Premier League table for the first time this season. Berbatov headed home from close range after a fine cross from Carlos Tevez on the right in the 90th minute just as the game was heading towards a draw. For the preceding 89 minutes United had been warded off by Jussi Jaaskelainen. The Bolton keeper saved superbly from two Cristiano Ronaldo free-kicks and also a header from the United winger. United's win saw them equal Chelsea's record, set in 2004-05, of 10 consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League, as they bid for a third consecutive title.

Below is the picture and the video of the winning goal.

Wii FIt Isn't Enough

Lately, I have been trying to keep fir through Wii Fit and Wii Sports, but as a football player, the activities and exercises it offers are not strenuous enough to keep me fit. Although, I must admit, when I first used it and played boxing, tennis and golf, I used some muscles that I haven’t used much before. My shoulder muscles ached that I thought I would need a shoulder pain pump. The shoulder muscles suddenly got utilized for swinging the Wii remote control which also serves as the bat for baseball, the club for golf and the racket for tennis. I just am hoping to get back to running and attending our soccer practice and training.

Two Goals Give Win to Everton vs Hull City

Everton established their place in the top six as goals from Marouane Fellaini and Mikel Arteta delivered Hull City their fourth straight league loss. The hosts dominated from the outset but Fellaini's opener, a close-range header from Leighton Baines's cross in the 18th minute, should have been ruled out for offside. Arteta troubled Hull all afternoon and he made it two with a spectacular free-kick on the 45th minute.

Late Goal Draws Middlesbrough Sunderland Match, 1-1

Kenwyne Jones grabbed his seventh goal of the season to rescue a point for Sunderland and make it nine matches without a win for Middlesbrough. Afonso Alves' first league goal since October looked to have earned Boro the victory, the Brazilian linking up well with Stewart Downing before sending it in. But Jones slid in to score from David Healy's superb cross to snatch a draw.

Waiting for the Final Schedule of Tournament Resumption

It has been more than a week since I have attended practice with my football team mates and the resumption of the Third Division Terry Razon Copa Filipina Tournament is coming soon. The last I heard from my club was that there is a scheduled match tomorrow and I am still waiting for a message from them. But my guess is that this has not been finalized yet. If this is the case, this will give our team more time to get back into match fitness and spend some time going back to our football textbooks for some team tactics and strategies. I guess in a few minutes I would have to contact one of our team members because they might not have received my update on my new cellphone number.

Bendtner's Late Goal Gives Arsenal 1-0 Win vs Bolton

Nicklas Bendtner came in as a substitute to snatch a win for Arsenal when he slid in to score six minutes before stoppage time. Until then Arsenal has had misses as Robin van Persie fired a volley just over the bar and Emmanuel Adebayor hesitated and his shot was blocked. Van Persie's toe-poked effort hit the post before the Dutchman's flick was saved by Jussi Jaaskelainen, who then saved Bendtner's close-range header. But the Dane sent in Van Persie's cross to finally end Bolton's stand.

Playing Wii Sports

Lately, we have been enjoying our time playing different sports like golf, boxing, tennis and baseball through our Wii. But I am looking forward to find a football or soccer game for Wii. Wii is unlike PS2 where there are many games available. Or maybe we just haven’t explored much with our new entertainment at home. But one thing I like about Wii is it is very interactive and it works out the body while the games are being played.
