It has been 3 months now since we got our Peri from Great Wall Motors Philippines. I am glad to say that I have been fairly satisfied with its performance as I regularly drive around Metro Manila, particularly, from Antipolo to Makati City.

There have been no accidents, thank God, so I have not used my auto insurance yet and have not gotten hold of another insurance quote. As for the regular scheduled maintenance, Great Wall Motors Philippines’ service has been awesome. The staff are very courteous and friendly.

Great Wall Motors Philippines have different units available: Hover, Cowry, Florid, Wingle, Cool Bear and our car, the Peri, which is available through order.

Soccer and Going Back to School

Posted by Jeff | Thursday, August 19, 2010

Many students are going back to school and many kids will probably be learning soccer for the first time. Some, however, will be going back to the sport that they enjoy playing. Older kids will train and compete in soccer tournaments while college teams are going back to school to maintain their eligibility to stay as part of their soccer teams. As they do away with enjoying wine barrels they will be focusing on improving their endurance and skill in the pitch. So much with back to school soccer.

Today, two friends told me that I have gained weight. That is a sign that I need to start getting back to regular exercises like jogging and spending some time playing football. When I do not exercise, I do not feel very agile. I remember during the football season, I used to jog up and down stairs and was able to do it as part of my regular exercise besides jogging.

But now, even just a regular walk up to the Metro Rail Transit while carrying 108R00725 ink sticks and other stuff makes me catch my breath a little. I am not out of shape but I need to get back to appoint that I am physically able to do those challenges without any difficulty.

Football is the last thing on my mind right now and the first is the UFC 117 sopcast live streaming match between Silva and Sonnen. It is just less than fourteen hours away and forums are busy with comments and discussions about who will win.

I personally think that Anderson Silva is going to remain as the Middleweight champion in this UFC 117 live stream sopcast fight. I predict a win via submission or knockout.

I purchase the jerseys from thrift shops in Manila where anybody can buy stuff like baby clothes, tools, electronic gadgets and other clothes. There are stalls that sell football jerseys and you can buy the plain ones and those with the player name and number.

Busy With Our Youth Ministry Event: PVZ

Posted by Jeff | Friday, July 30, 2010

Tomorrow I won’t be able to push through with my plan to run and play a bit of soccer in Marikina Sports Park because we, in our church’s youth ministry called JIVE Youth, will be very busy preparing for a special event which we entitled PVZ or Plants vs Zombies. We will be giving away prizes to students and plan to raffle out prizes that students could use like bookstore gift certificates, a back pack, pens, sketch pad, etc. (no expensive prizes like a Vacheron Constantin.

The event will be held at our youth center located in Kalayaan Ave., Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City and will start at 4:00 PM, which is a week and a few hours from the UFC 117 sopcast live stream match.

Today I saw a football field that was left uncared for. It has actually been abused because its owners have allowed for different activities to be held on it and the grass that used to be so green are now gone and you can just see dirt covering the grass that used to be there.

In some portions of the field, especially the goal area, the holes are so deep that you would think diamonds are being mined there. But they are like that because the owners just allow people to play football. That’s a bit of dilemma for the owners, I think. Will they disallow players for a time and rehabilitate the pitch but rob the footballers of their joy, or should they allow them to play their most loved game but let the field suffer? The way the field is being cared for (or uncared for) is just a bit saddening. I hope they notice that soon and start the rehabilitation.
